Three years after the surgery, the scar began to itch uncomfortably. The man noticed a slightly raised dark spot under his skin. He decided to examine it closely, and what happened next wasn’t the only thing that shocked him.
He started to leave, and leave even more.
As soon as he pulled the sting out, it came loose.
A long stitch that should have fallen off and been absorbed by the body long ago. And that wasn’t the only thing. He gradually removed a total of eight stitches.
It had come to the surface over the years.
“After bowel surgery, eight months later, they removed a stitch right from my stomach – it was 217mm long, and I still keep it in a box,” wrote one commenter.
